    Douglas vs the Roo

Driving to work the other day, one of those over sized rabbits jumped out in front of the car, bent the bull bar a bit and broke off some of the plastic bumper.....possible ripped off rear mud flap and that lovely little decorative bit of plastic on the rear quarter cant be quite certain about the side step.... but shocked at how much genuine parts are for the disco. one site has the plastic front bumper around 1200, got a quote from land rover dealership for original bumper.... that was around 2800... i wish for normal parts not gold plated parts.

    So, how was the 'roo?

Seriously, find a wrecker. Or someone on here who has a spare or two. $2800? I can sell you an entire car for that. But it's missing the front bar....

Don't know of any real bull bars that retain the bumper, for the same price as a bumper you can fit an arb or similar , and as John wrote , wreckers for the rest .

I demolished the corner of my front bumper in a Woolies carpark (don't ask). Back bumper has seen too many trailer hits, wrecker wanted $600 for front and $600 for rear, only had the one set left. I ended up filling the hole with expanding foam and painting it black, back one has light checker plate Aluminium bent to shape and painted black. Still on the lookout for a cheap roo bar.

So far i have hit 3 sheep, 2 roos and a goat with my D2a without any damage thanks to my ARB bullbar.
I did foolishly back into a steel power pole at King Ash Bay last year and buggered the rear bar But a replacement steel bar was only about $500.
The ARB bar cost me $2400 fitted about 4 years ago and i am pretty sure that i have saved much more than that so far

This mob do a cheap bar, MCC STEEL BULL BAR 3 HOOPS S/S SUIT LAND ROVER DISCOVERY 1&2 4X4 WINCH ARB TJM | eBay.
But looking for a secondhand one, don't need a winch bar and not paying a $1000 from a wrecker.
