Thread: Fuel gauge acting a little weird.

    The fuel tank sensor part is available separate as YAD500040.I have just fitted a VDO pump left over from TD5 Defender to my Discovery II,apart from the pump colour change,only difference appeared to be the length of the float arm.Swapped the arms and all works ok.Definitely easier to fit the rubber seal to the tank before fitting pump, followed by the locking ring.

    It seems like the the tank seal is going to be starting a point then.
    Will be looking to order parts shortly and see how we go, thanks to all who added input to this discussion.
