D2 Td5 viscous coupling what direction??

Having assumed that the viscous coupling on my TD5 was a left hand thread, I have been "helping" it to undo with the tapometer and not having any success.
Have now seen an online UK mechanic who says that TD5's can be left or right hand thread.
He says that the viscous nut happens to thread in the direction that the fan blade rotates, which on mine looks like anti clockwise, so that would suggest a right hand thread.
Before I start trying to get the coupling to undo in that direction, has anybody come across the possibility of TD5 viscous couplings being either left or right hand thread??

Re thread on Viscous coupling on TD5

Thanks all, will go with RH thread, which now raises another issue as far as getting correct tool.
I ordered a set of removal tools which came with a 32/36mm double ended OE spanner and to grip the pulley, a lever with a curved hook, which would restrain the pulley. (see pic)
However it appears that the "lever" type spanner that restrains the pulley works best for a LH thread, as when I mount it to lock pulley for RH thread it does not fit as securely over the nuts it is intended to lock on to and jumps off when any pressure applied to undo main nut.
Seems that the pulley spanner with the "C" shaped end that comes with 3 holes in it to allow locking onto the pulley is the better option when looking for removal tools.

If the VC has not been loctited on, a swift hit with a persuader mk 1 will usually get it moving.
If loctited be prepared for hours.

    Getting viscous coupling off TD5

Made a lovely tool to hold pulley, then used persuader to assist.
Required several strong hits, but came off.
All good, now I can get radiator out and sort everything else as well.
