What you mean with that? Like the manifold and JE kit?
I emailed gigglepin and got it through them

Hahahahahaha!!! Maybe...
Reason I make such a comment.
I had 2 tunes that were fun to load on people’s vehicles and have them drive it around.
One felt much faster - more race like. People commented how quick it was.
Then I would install another file. Same sort of numbers just more like a big linear pull. And significantly quicker yet felt slower as it accelerated more smoothly.
It's fast enough that race my mates in the td4.2s with 12mm pumps haha

100%
Spent enough time playing with dynos and the stop watch on track several lifetimes ago.
I've been deceived by "this feels faster" and then shown lap times.
In that vein the old mechanic that taught me so much about building engines used to quote an old race engine builder that influenced him a lot.
Horsepower sells engines. Torque wins races.

Thanks for offer, I have a spare now as a consequence of having been changing one over on my other TD5 and to do that I did purchase one already machined, so now I have a spare (which I will get faced and ready in case the other Td5 warps as a consequence of boosting EGT's from remapping).
Bought a 220K 2003 TD5 over the phone and had it sent to LR workshop to "improve" the engine performance in a cost effective way (If possible).
He felt no real gain in fitting 3" exhaust, but recommended remove cat and main muffler (put straight through pipe), disconnect EGR and get the ECU remapped. (Cost about $1800)
After collecting it, I had 900K's to test drive it home.
I found no real increase in engine noise inside car, minimal "drone" that some have referred to after removing muffler.
Car does perform better than my other TD5 D2, and climbed highway over escarpment with ease.
have since done 3000k's in past week and find that fuel consumption is 10L/100k at average 110-120kph. (And vehicle has 235 tyres so running slightly smaller diameter than usual, which I am changing later in week.
Have had to overtake semis on road and find that vehicle can hit 140kph pretty quickly.
What tune was put onto it? Did they turn up the boost?

Because of the "Virus" I couldn't be there and didn't meet the tech. He came to sworkshop, did the business and left.
I did ask for re-map that would suit a vehicle that usually does long highway runs at 110-120kph, and is driven pretty steadily otherwise.
Was told that "boost" move up slightly (about 2lbs), but I would have to call the tech to discuss what mapping he did. Was told it was nothing OTT.
Am yet to add a snorkel, and told that won't chnage anything as far as the setup goes.
Happy enough with it.
