Doesn't the turbo kick in at 2350rpm or something like that.
Peak torque is hit by 1900rpm and is held at this peak through to 2300 rpm. So turbo starts to kick in below this but don’t expect much to happen below 1200 rpm.Quote:

No worries mates.
The fact was that I used one of the aftermarket MAF sensor before on my previous TD5 Auto 2000 ($40 at that time) and it was totally fine until I sold it and never heard of any issue from the new owner.
Also PhilipA in our forum has been using his own Chinese MAF sensor for 13+ months or so without issues.
I talked with my business partner and they said about $130 for a very high quality aftermarket one, so it might be the one I try this time.
