    Alarm Going Off

Help! I gave the D2 to my son to take to Perth and the alarm keeps going off. It started at 3am and goes off every time he tries to do something. He has my Hawkeye what can he do? Thanks Nick.

Not sure about Hawkeye but with the nanocom you can disable the alarm

Get him to check the bonnet switch is plugged in correctly and fitted as it should be in the bracket.

It may also be a moth or similar inside the vehicle. To disable the internal sensors lock the doors with the key, the alarm will still work with the volumetric sensors turned off.
    Cheers, Kyle

It may well be the bonnet switch as I put on a replacement power steering pump and pipes before he went and I may have disturbed the switch.

As a quick workaround tell him to lock the car manually via key in drivers door lock rather than using the remote. The alarm will stay disabled that way.

Thanks but the drama is over. I suspect that the bonnet was not fully closed. I felt a bit helpless trying to sort it via his phone when all I could hear was the alarm in full voice and the panic in his. he was already traumatised by me accidentally locking him in a car at a servo while I grabbed some lunch years ago. I did wonder at the time who's car alarm kept going off.

Just remove the bonnet switch and join the wires together.
    It works opposite to most.
Who wants to open the bonnet of a D2 these days to steal it?

And to disable volumetric alarm just unplug them and put sensor back in.

The bonnet switch is N/C and opens when the bonnet is closed, joining the wires will trigger a misslock warning like when the bonnet is not closed. To disable it you have to simply unplug it
