I barely believe this about The TD5 transmission coolant hoses.

Ok my D2 TD5 auto has now done 211KK and I am getting very nervous about my auto transmission to cooler hoses. UBP101601 and UBP101610
Did an Ebay search and rang both 4WD Industries and All4x4 had only RH one in stock none at suppliers. Mario doesn't stock then due to freight. I tried him first. Over $350 freight from UK makes them aver $600 landed.
Freight was between 34 and $40.
    Cost
4WD drive industries total 444 plus freight of 34
All4x4 total 470 plus $40 freight.( I would probably drive 1 1/2 hours each way to get them)

    Now wait for it!
    Central Coast Landrover
    $219 and $246 total $465 plus 2 Orings at 8.16=16.32 grand Total 481.32.
Available ex Melbourne no freight on Thursday or Friday. I am close to West Gosford.

Has this ever happened in the history of the World????????
    Regards PhilipA

Yep the high pressure fuel lines for the D3 TDV6. Cheaper from the local landie agent that anywhere in the UK or the indies. Doesn't happen often, but it's always worth checking.

Have you checked your nearest Land Rover dealer ? The pipes will be most likely be geniune and may be cheaper to pick them up.

Phillip yes they are a good price. I bought a set today from LR dealer, better quality than any aftermarket set and available overnight at minimal freight . They even keep them in stock for me usually as i only order and fit genuine ones.
The Isuzu 110. Solid and as dependable as a rock, coming soon with auto box😊
The Range Rover L322 4.4.TTDV8 ....probably won't bother with the remap..😈

    Only happened to me once.
I holed the radiator in a 2 dr Rangie heading across to Perth.
Got astronomical quotes to repair/recore it from places in Perth, so tried the dealer (Barbagallo?) and they had a genuine one for 300bucks.

Blimey! Can you not get one made up from one of the Hydraulic Hose Specialists? Or at the very least a price?

Some (probably most) will even come to your site & manufacture it. May even do the job for you.

    I'm talking about 20years ago....
All the local radiator/cooling places I asked either said "no, go away" or wanted about $600 from memory.
Being able to walk into a main stealer and walk out again with a new part at half the cost seemed like an absolute bargain at the time!

Yes I’ve found that the local LR dealer here has been very competitive on D2 parts pricing over the last couple of years, and if you do the hard work of finding the part number and it’s old stock on the shelf they may discount the price

    cheers

I recently had a hose made, cost $500! It was a path I started, belìeving the swage was leaking. After picking myself off the ground and paying the bill, I found that I could buy the hose from BOR for less than half that price.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

Still, it would be beneficial for Philip A to get a price first. but I guess he's gone down this road. to get a price. Possibly.

Seems a big variation in Freight charges as well. Coming by it's own Gold Plated Lear Jet is it?
