Blank it at the oil cooler (19mm) and the expansion tank (8mm)
The last of the D2a's came from the factory with that barb on the cooler fitted with a blanking cap.
I used a silicon one as it's bloody close to the turbo.

    Egr blanking

is it possible to put a blank plate after the cooler, removing the EGR valve and leaving those pipes insitu?

Or can I blank it at the exhaust manifold and leave the coolant pipes in place?

    You can do that.

And you can clean the cooler internally and plumb up fresh water to it to act as a water heater for showers, etc when you're camping.

I just removed everything to clean up the engine bay
