    Discovery 2 Sens (V)

    Hi,
Just an question with my discovery 2 slabs abs input.

The wabco slabs pdf says this "This shows the DC Voltage for the wheel speed sensor. Expected values are between 2.0 to 2.4 Volts"

Does that apply to all 4 wheels?

    As mine reads as follows
    FR 2.25v
    FL 2.19v
    RR 2.23v
    RL 2.21V

    Thanks

Yes, that 2 - 2.4V range is valid for each wheel

But should it be the same reading? Eg like 2.5v for all 4?

No. Manufacturing of the sensors will cause some differences. Different cable lengths will also give differences, connectors may vary. There are a whole heap of things that can cause variations between the sensors.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

I would clean the connector for the front left.
It is inside the engine bay behind the ABS assembly.
I had AFAIR 2.17 on my RR and the three amigos. A quick spray with electronic contact cleaner and it was well again.

As long as each input is between 2 - 2.4V the system passes the stationary self test for the sensors but if there are bigger differencies, let's say one at 2.01 and other 2.38 the TC might be oversensitive and kick in too often cos the wheel speed inputs will be different at the same speed so the best is when the values are similar or as close as possible...using genuine wabco sensors all around would make this possible

Can I use OEM sensors all round would that fix it?

Be careful, there's been reports of issues with some sensors being longer or shorter than others - particularly if mixing pattern parts (hubs or sensors) with genuine or OEM.
