I did mention in my post that you would have 1 hose left over if you got the 4 piece kit, maybe I wasn't clear enough.
The 4 piece kit will do both ACE and non ACE cars , the 2 hoses in the middle of the green kit pictured although looking similar are not the same , from memory one is longer in order to clear the ACE pump.

This is what caused the confusion.

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

    Fourth Hose and clamps

I know some sage wrote re the coolant pipes to trim them, me thinks now that the 3 piece kit may have the 'longer' pipe and that this need to be trimmed if using on a vehicle without ACE??? phoned one supplier and they were not aware of the differences or requirements, they are "D2 TD5 pipes mate"!! Had a quick look and saw the double reservoir of power steering and ACE sits above the pipe, but without a non ACE to compare...

Thank for the info on the clamps, a mech minded mate agreed re as to keep the originals, silicon is a lot tougher than Rubber and if they have lasted 260K's they will out last me.
Just one further question, I already have the D2a intercooler, the inlet and outlets are the same size as D2?

yes, seems to be a growing number of forum "sages" .
For your info, the 3 piece kit normally does non ACE
I would recommend decent quality and if you get on to the allisport website you can order an ACE specific set of three but you need to select ACE in the options box when you order

Edit , yes the inlet / outlets are the same whether d2 , d2a or performance intercoolers
