I was not looking at towing for this feature, rather a box to slide in when going on trips with drawers and fridge and slide out when trip was over. The main thing was to have a 'platform' to slide the box from and to. So if the vehicle was down would make it easier to slip in.
Yes, with that switch doesnt matter if the doors are open but dont miss the red warning cos it's important
The pins 1 and 2 are inputs of open doors (1 for driver's and 2 for the rest). You can add a switch that would allow you to disconnect (switch to earth) one of the cables. SLABS will then think some door is open and won't change the height, so you'll be able to rise/lower manually even with ignition on. And if you use separate switches for left and right side you can use the whole manual system to level the car while camping even with a bit of side incline.
Might be an ideea but the SLABS is monitoring the valves with reference voltage signals while the system is active even with a door open and it could be a "conflict" with the manual inputs and send the system into ''valve short to supply" default... i'm not sure this happens but it's a risk IMOQuote:

What i meant is that if the SLABS sends the reference voltage for the valve checks while you switch 12V to the valves then it can be a problem cos it will get that 12V return and AFAIK the check voltage is 5V... or might not be any issue, i can't confirm that's why i made the warning cos with ignition off it's 100% on the safe side

Both are 433.92 mhz rolling code, now I know the blade is different, they do differ -PCF numbers are different 7936 versus 7941 so is this only the fact that one is three button and the other two....? At $90 would be worth just to hang in the back of the TD5 when needed. They do make fold key cases for for D2 with flip keys too.
I purchased a kit from someone in the UK who made them It was $60
It was a circuit board and came with the switch and instructions of how to patch it into the BCU.
I then purchased one of these and did not use the switch

I find it very handy for unhitching caravan.
I also us it when parked up for the night. My Engle fridge is mounted on drawers with a drop slide. It is still very high even when dropped down, so I lower the arse of the car and fridge access is easy.
Mine will not operate when any doors are open though. I plan to one day fit a switch and wire it to the BCU, to trick it in thinking doors are shut when they are not.
