They're going to put a lot of stress on a single point of the chassis, during a difficult recovery.

You would have a short strap, 2-3m, between the two of them for recovery
What sort of recovery are you guys doing? A simple tow out or winch or are you attempting to snatch with them?
No recovery as yet. Just chewing the fat on the possible recovery points to buy and fit.
Have you got the ARB bar that has the recovery points on the front?

I wouldn't recover with them Simon. I had a tilt tray driver bend mine, loading on flat groung. Easily fixed with a small hammer. [bigsad]
Thats why they were put on, I've always recovered off them. When people started going cray with them, thats when ARB retracted them as a point and then later removed them. The bars are designed to take up to a 12,000lb winch with double line pull safely to the offset points and ARB design their crushcans to be able to recover through - even the later LC crush cans had to be wired so the compression strenth could be lower than their tension strength.
Mind you, I've never put the winch on the point like that pictured.
The point will assume the angle of pull, fine as long as that angle remains low.
