I have Bilstein shocks on each corner, I settled on them because they were said to be rebuildable. I think that the BE5-B994s on the front having now done 170,000 kms are getting tired going by the ride and the tyre wear. Has anyone had theirs rebuilt? do they need to go back to Bilstein for a rebuild? Is a rebuild worth it compared to buying new ?

I'm not sure who your local is, but I use Sydney Shocks who are also Bilstein Motorsports who will rebuild, revalve, dyno test etc your shocks. They will also do shock modifications on top of rebuild/revalves. You can tell them the shock rate values and dyno curves you want or you can supply them with the vehicle information and they can develop shock rates for you. Or you can get the same again. Although you probably don't have remote res like the 7100's, you can run the valving that is in the 7100's in your shocks, but you may not want that. There is no valving black magic in the regular buggy shocks that you cant have in the regular shocks. Do compare the cost of new vs rebuild though as for those it may potentially be better just to get new ones.
