We have doors, very strong ones.
I spent all Saturday night/Sunday morning at the Roadhouse as a group of kids tried to bash the front doors down.
    An interesting, if long, night.

For some reason it thought it was locked?
I had noticed before but it didn't twig, when I was getting in & trying to start the alarum light was still flashing & when I turned the key coming on as a hard red light.
I gave it some thought & hit the unlock button again & low & behold she started after 1 wind over.

    Wrong Paul, Paul.
I was wondering if the RH had an automatic door. Some servo doors play silly buggers with my locking.

The local police came down several times, kids see car lights, run into bush, see car light leave, come back & start again.
I was inside watching the cameras, good cameras, I could still see what was going on once they were smashed.
    Like I said, interesting night.

Being a mod stolen your sense of humour, Ian?

Actually, 911 DOES work in some places in Oz. What I said about being educated by US TV. But, sure, that may not have filtered down into Doomadgee yet.

No John and I though you probably said so with tongue firmly implanted, but it's alarmingly worrying how many Aussies try to use 112 or 911 for emergencies. 999 doesn't seem to be an issue.

Tongue indeed planted, as you know.

112 works here. Indeed, 112 works on a mobile even if that mobile does not have a SIM installed. I believe this is also the case with 000. But 112 is supposed to work anywhere. Maybe not from landlines though. ( One of the questions asked when applying for a "White Card" )

Seriously, wouldn't it be a good idea to have ALL emergency numbers recognised? After all, we do ( or should that be did? ) get a lot of tourists to whom English is not even their second language, and in an emergency in the bush may forget our conventions? How hard would that be?

Well, in Vic not many people wear white shoes. Maybe they want to avoid confusion up there? Most construction is still on he Gold Coast, isn't it?
