    Nanocom in Adelaide

Hey lads, anyone willing to help me out with a Nanocom in Adelaide? My cooling fan is stuck on and I'm lead to believe this can be reset with the Nanocom?

    Cheers, Ben

It can but be aware that when the fan is in that status there is an overheating fault code stored so investigate why that happenned... you can't rely on the gauge cos it stays at the middle up to 120*C while the fan kics in at 110

I have installed a water temp guage, egt, new MAF(old one was completely shorted)and flushed coolant after purchasing. It sits between 90-98 when working even on warmer days. Does this seem like acceptable temp range?

The radiator looks to be in good condition and there are no leaks. Otherwise the engine looks and sounds great.

Are there any other tell-tale signs of overheating damage?

If that temp was monitored and stood within those limits there's no overheating danger and if the fan is on due to overheating fault code then the ECT sensor is suspect. If no fault code logged then the fan is on due to some other reason like stuck relay, to rule it out remove relay R4(cooling fan) and put R3(headlamp wash) instead and if it stops get a new relay

Thanks for the relay info - I have tried this and looks like the relay is good. I do believe the previous owner may have overheated the engine at some point, but all seems well with the engine and I believe the fault code should clear without issue. My trouble is that a nanocom is quite a bit of coin. Do you know of any other diagnostic tools that will work for the disco 2?

The cheapest i know which covers pretty well the systems(not as smart as nanocom but good enough) is Foxwell NT510 Elite or NT520/NT530 for example Foxwell NT510 Multi-System OBD2 Scanner Support Multi-Languages Ship From US check the LR function list in the link
