Ok, so continuing from my last issue, it seems like it was the wastegate sticking I took the actuator rod off the side of the turbo housing to get the wastegate valve arm moving better.
I wound it in a little bit but chickened out thinking I would put to much boost then.... So like a scared little disco owner I wound it out but probably went to far the other way.
any good rules of thumb on how to adjust it as its running smoother but still struggling to get up hills.
I have still ordered the intercooler hoses from roose and have a serck intercooler being installed as well just want it running like before.... me and my fat fingers fiddled with ****

If you go to far, on full throttle, you get over boost and the power drops, a lot. Happened to me. Just wind back a turn or three. But by the extra grunt is great, just before the throttle cuts out!
I think about putting in the EGT gauge and getting the mild tune I have tweaked, just to get more oomph.

I believe it is not a fixed numbers to try to get the best of the rod position. It took me several trials at 1/4 and 1/2 turn change for each time to get to the sweetest spot. Guess how many? About 50 times up/down and you really need to run up hills to test every time, and about some good weekends. Enjoy it mate.

adjust the rod so it slips over the arm/lever in the closed position , then lightly tighten the adjuster to give it a bit of tension so you know the flap is shut. That is the starting point.
From there you progressively tighten till you find the overboost point, but it must be done driving up a decent slope to spool the turbo right up.
