They would be people who are driving the car, and assuming they are comparing these tyres to others. One I know of was the brother inlaws boss (electrician work ute) under normal driving in wet weather he claimed it was the worst tyre he had ever used. Claimed it was horrible underbraking and general driving in the wet. A bit of a background on the bloke, he grew up racing all sorts of things from bikes to cars ect and owns a few pretty nice muscles cars. Also when I did some research before I bought them I did come across a few others saying similar things. Me I reckon they are brilliant in everyway.
Also I don't know how hard/fast and average punter drives so I cannot comment on whether you drive harder/faster.
Only trouble is they don't do them in 19", nor do Toyo, so looks like I'll have to stick with the Pirellis.
Maxxis and Wranglers are the only other 19" options I've found in my initial searching so far.
mine have about 50k on them, there is an odd 697 on rhrear, and cooper spare neither which have quite as much milage but look so much worse and let go in the wet which the wildpeaks don't do unless provoked.
they (the wildpeaks) still look in very good condition and much quieter than any other tyre I've used
I don't normally make recommendations for vehicle products , but for a really good all round a/t tyre , I'd say yes.
Thanks all
Currently running with a set of Falken AT3W's and, as others have mentioned above, brilliant in every way. Just shy of 10K km at the moment, with tread wear so far being minimal, but performance on wet bitumen and loose gravel is just brilliant. First real decent set of tyres on the ol girl since I've owned the vehicle and I wouldn't hesitate sticking with them in future if they continue to be manufactured...
I run them on my work Navara. Done 80ks so far and they probably have a good 20ks left in them.
Mainly highway usage but I do do a fair bit of corrugated roads as well.
Perform well on the beach and don’t have a problem in the wet.
I’ll be changing to them on my landy when they are due
Hope this helps.
