Thread: Blank switch wired up?

Hello people,

I'm a couple of months into my first Td5 D2 after many 300tdi D1's, loving the performance improvement and finally getting around to some jobs.

I'm ready to fit a couple of spotlights to the bullbar and wanted to use a standard light switch to turn on and off, Qld regulations say only on with high beam and must have a switch to turn them off, so I pulled what I thought was a blank plate and it's wired up, just to be clear, there is no switch, no light, no hidden l.e.d. nothing.

Anyone got any clue what it could be for before I start testing every electrical circuit in the car to try and figure it out?

Any suggestions, however off the wall, as I cannot think of any reason to do this at all.

The bottom switch is for parking sensors. Even if your model isn't fitted with the sensors, the wiring will be there, like the wiring for electric seats, fitted or otherwise.
