    Spacers are only one of a million things with that setup that dont comply but everyone loves to bang on about spacers.

    There are also issues with a body lift on ACE equipped cars.
    If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Hence why the article gave me a laugh, wheel offsets and larger tyres can place strain on the hubs and impact on factory geometry and using poor quality components anywhere on drivetrains can lead to tears. Poms in particular seem to love spacers without too many (any???) reports of the vehicles wheels shearing off or spinning the vehicle off the road at sensible speeds.

    Comply, COMPLY, how many egr's and catalytic convertors are left on modified TD5's when people start to modify them.. Was off to a climate change rally the other weekend, then realized so had to turn around, go back home and refit them.

    Anything over 50mm combined wheel/suspension/body lift and you will be off to see an engineer to make it legal. I suspect you need to consider if you want to go ahead with a 4” lift.

    I think you meant SRS equipped. I can't see how ace would have any effect, but with SRS a body lift is a no no

    All D2s have SRS (airbags). I was under the impression that the actuator links become an issue, when lifting the body and the mechanical (dis)advantage that extended links introduce.

    Peoples...Let's get our acronyms under control...

    SLS = Self Levelling Suspension (Airbag rear suspension)

    SRS = Secondary Restraint System (Airbags inside cabin area)

    ACE = Active Cornering Enhancement (Anti-roll device..Brilliant!!)
