Hi Leonie. Haven't seen you for a while. ( I avoid all the covid threads as I'm likely to get into trouble) Those mods are awesome. Where are you headed once you get the licence?
Hellothought you guys might find the mods my disco 2 has been fitted with, interesting. As someone in a wheelchair, with hand disability too and determined to keep doing the things I love, I was not going to give up my beloved Landrover either.
You don't need to have tiktok to view these, but they are a few videos of the mods. Will add photos as well.
I've just gone through the lesson process and driving test/assessment that is required for driving with disability mods. Have passed the assessmentnow just awaiting the licence paperwork to arrive in the mail and I'll be back on the road! (disabled drivers sadly do not recieve temp licence to drive after passing tests like able bodied drivers- assume because of all the admin stuff associated with it
)
There's the hand control, automatic tailgate and Bruno. The muscle of the situation who lifts my off road powerchair in the back!
Some of you know this journey already as have been in the covid free thread

I like the covid free threadI avoid the covid ones too!
Im keen to hit some tracks, want to camp and do Coorong, border tracks, Flinders.
Snow next year. I hope to road trip to Port Lincoln too as want to swim with sharks.
Im saving up for a suspension upgrade first. The powerchair is 200kg so need to help the disco support it better, especially the lifting process part![]()
Its been a long process. As even when i was driving, I've been limited with how far and often for 13 years. So now, I will have days I cannot drive but mostly, will be able to like everyone elsemy hand control is low fatigue and works with my hands lack of hand function, it's fabulous.
Well done , no wonder your stoked, freedom.
Great stuff , bet there's not many other D2's around with those mods
Pretty sure no matter how far you decide to travel and camp with the D2 there'd be someone around ( self included ) to help sort out any age related issues the old girl might have
As I look up from typing there are 5 of them here waiting for some TLC, none with anything major.
suppose I'd better get after it![]()
Thankyouso wonderful that the disco and I have friends in every corner of this big, beautiful country
