I run the allisport one and it's fantastic and lifetime warranty too
Hi All,
My coolant overflow reservoir (good old plastic one) has split, this is the second one I am on. I've been told that the aluminum replacement is the way to go. Is this a better option? If so what brand/s should I look at? There are a few out there but have read reviews about those failing as well and just want a bottle that's not going to give me grief.
Cheers,
Vinnie

X2 on the Allisport version
I've been changing a few out recently , these rolled up the other day. 2 are the power steering reservoir
I get the in built low coolant float version... spot on.
Twice the price of a genuine replacement but well worth it
Edit : The blingy cap finishes it off, the tank I've linked to will suit the car in your signature

Dave, I got a loud, audible alarm from Jaycar, it's not much bigger than a 50c coin.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Not really.
the switch in the expansion tank is on or off.
the alarm or led indicator just shows you that the switch is on(or off).
with one wire on the switch connected to earth, the other wire needs power from somewhere, (eg. battery), other wire will go to alarm/led and the other wire from alarm/led will go to earth.

As Ian mentioned, Jaycar will have what is required, I use an spst relay and use the relay earth circuit for both wires from the switch, it's just a personal thing which avoids feeding another powered wire through the cab.
Arthurs previous answer appears to have 3 wires involved or direct short when switch is closed , maybe I'm just not understanding correctly.
A simple method would be this , but don't forget to run a fuse
