I've had Monroe shocks on my RRC for about 200 thou which were on a donor parts vehicle so not new.
Still fine, but I did use the thick Toy cups for the bushes which are still fine. Most 4wd accessory places have buckets of them. Mine were free, Toy wanted $6 each.

I'm a big fan of Billsteins. Have them in my D2.
There were recommended by Les Richmond who I highly rate for Landrover advice, especially suspension.
Many years ago I had issues with bad shimmy on my 82 RR classic.
I went right over the front end with all new bushes etc. Andrew at Les Richmond told me it was the steering damper and to put a Billie on it.
Being a tight arse I went and got a cheapie elsewhere and it made the problem worse.
Got a Billstein steering damper and it fixed the problem.
I like my Bilsteins in my D2 and they ate up Cape York. In the Triton I have EFS XTR - a big bore dual wall shock and they feel exactly like the Billies. I really like them. Cheers
I put EFS on my green one, bad decision. Hard as a rock. But this was a while back now... things can change..
Yeah Peter they have had a lot of development in Aust over the years. Do you recall what model EFS you had? My XTR are Billies hard but no harder. CheersQuote:
