    Cracked rims...... repair or bin?

Unfortunately found out one of my original 18 inch alloys has a substantial crack in it. I've never had to deal with this before so what's everyones opinion. Fix or bin?

Ide love to fix it just to keep the continuity but pointless if it will crack again, or worse. Still leaving me stranded anyways.

It runs parallel to the direction of rotation which, according to some individuals online, is an instant death sentence (for the rim i mean). I'm keen to hear some thoughts on this dilemma.

    Cheers everyone

I would bin it if you have ever seen an alloy rim explode at 100ks you would bin it welding it weakens the alloy just my thoughts.

I would bin it also. Alloys can be a funny material, but more so when the rim is only worth probably $50-100 to replace.
    Cheers
