    ABS Light 1999 Disco

Hi guys, Been trying to figure out if anything dodgy has been done with my abs system prior to me owning it. My abs Light on the dash does not show up on start up or at all, What led me to question this is a P1590 fault code
which i believe relates to ABS, ive had no other signs it drive fine, no check engine light etc, I have just run through checking the all the ABS fuses under the hood and dash and switched out the relay. Any other suggestions of how to check it.

Hi, fist of all a blown fuse or bad relay would bring on the warning light not disable it, also any P code is irrelevant for this system cos it's not OBD2 compliant. Only the ABS is missing? the others like TC, HDC are working? You need a proper diagnostic tool which can interrogate the ABS ECU to fix this cos probably the warning lamp was blanked somehow usually with black tape to hide it as it was on due to a permannent fault code or ECU misbehaviour

Thanks for the replies, I ended up just pulling the shuttle valve switches out for a test, was thinking of doing the bypass, Ended up testing the switches per the guide and found there was a breakage there. multimeter was just showing an open circuit between the switches. ordered a replacement so fingers crossed that was all it is.
