sometime air bag suspensions will let you down

The SLS system is not complex and easily fixed when broken, there are many posts on troubleshooting etc.
Even the pump can be spruced up with new piston ring and "de-humidify" balls.
I don't get why people think coils are the way to go but I expect its because of old style urban legend stories about how unreliable air bags are.
Have had the airbags collapse, fail to rise, pump died, whatever, on D3, L322, and D2, and because I live and work remote and am often 1000's of k's from service support, mechanical/springs work best for me.
Have had to drive over 300K's on the stops on several occasions, and winced (for the car) every time I went over even a minor corrugation.
If I lived near a city, air suspension would be more viable, and a softer ride, but having it go down when you are in middle of nowhere just adds to the difficulties of remote travel.
