    Nanocom Data files

Here are my data files , both CSV plus the XLS verion of them. Also checked the voltages on the MAF, they seemed a bit below spec as well

Congratulations, you've come up with an issue I've never seen before!

Both the MAP and MAF sensors are reading significantly lower than they should, the strange thing is they are in agreement with each other.

The MAP sensor is reading 70kpa at idle, this is virtually impossible.

The throttle is also reporting spurious readings.

Has anyone played with the ECU mapping?

Check the air filter I guess.

I can't think of any other reason for the issue you are seeing, as both sensors are reading well under what they should, and if we use them to error check each other, they look ok...

The car will probably have more poke off the line if you unplug them both! but will run out of beans pretty quick after that.

    Check the air filter first.

I guess the intercooler could be blocked.

And check for oil at the ECU plugs.

Maybe take another reading with the engine off and ignition on and post it here please.

    Cheers
    James

I had the same thought so when I got home I bypassed the air filter completely and the figures didnt change. I can only think of a few things, MAP and MAF are both faulty, there is a partial blockage in the intercooler and/or hoses. The earlier thought I had with the wastegate I doubt, was comparing to a mates defender TD5 and there is very little movement it the wastegate and only then when he is reving the guts out of it (mine was a bit harder to see, I have the heat shield on the turbo)

I tend to think if I was going to try 1 first probably the MAP (unless I can borrow 1 just to try it, pretty easy to swap and see what readings I get)

Can you check the MAP reading with the engine off?

It should be within a couple of KPA of the AAP.

The reading with engine not running, looks like my MAP might have lost it's way (Sorry for the pun)

It's not that abnormal for them to let go at this age, what is abnormal is that both the MAP and MAF must have failed at the same time, and are under reading by the same amount, that bothers me a bit.

I didn't actually do it - it went back to the dealer and they sorted it. Freed - lubed it as I understood. Didn't help I had a new MAP sensor that probably wasn't needed...... I think there are plenty of tutorials online for it if you have a dig.
    Cheers,
