Sluggish at low revs - TD5

Just lately my TD5 has become very sluggish at low revs, starts to pick up a bit over 2000 rpm and then it goes normally. Cleaned the MAF the other day, it was pretty grubby, suppose at 466,000 km was due for a clean. Any ideas out there on what to look at

Mine had the same symptoms. Turns out the MAF as well as the MAP sensor were both faulty.

Do you have a Nanocom and can post the readings?

This is what you should see:

I had a look at the MAP and found it was filthy, so I gave it a clean, on the short drive went better, going to a meeting tonight so a bit longer drive, see how it goes. Unfortunately I accidently killed my Nanocom a couple of years ago but have borrowed a mates one at the moment, will look at the readings when I go out on a longer drive tomorrow

Td5 is an abbreviation for sluggish at low revs.

If you can get a nano recording and post it here that'll help immensely!

Ours did that years ago - after a lot of mucking about with the dealer - high MAP so they assumed a bad sensor - it was a sticky waste gate.
