Put a later model key fob receiver in - if its possible to sync the later model with the BCU?
much easier to get fobs for the plastic headlight models.
So i finally pulled the headliner out. Sick to death of looking at the sagging liner. Was a lot easier than i though. Hardest part was getting it out the back door.
Anyways, while i have the headliner out does anyone have any hot tips on jobs that can/should be done while i have the roof exposed? Run wiring for extra lighting, sound deadening etc etc.
What has everyone else done that required the roof lining to come off?
Cheers everyone

Might be a good time to remove and reseal the alpine windows and check for rust.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Seals for the roof rails if you have them fitted.
Sound and heat insulation.
Will you need wiring in the future?

Before I had a Land Rover I did not have any torque wrenches. Now I have three.

Now would be a good time to do it, you'd need to hunt for a good blanking plug to seal it off though otherwise a high density closed cell foam sheet (ie 8mm wetsuit rubber) and cut new ones to suit.
Hi Shayne86 MKII posted this if you want to get rid of the rails

There are a few different tutorials online about removing the roof rails. You need to drop the sides of the head lining to access the bolts. I was given the run around trying to find grommets that fit into the holes left by the rails (35mm) but eventually found these ones from Rare Spares:
They are about $8 each. Its hard to get them into the holes given the large external diameter but it lets you fill it up with silicone. I haven't had any leaks yet, even with some really heavy recent storms.
