    D2a Rear door seal again

    Hi all,

Apologies but I couldn't find an answer through the search, despite this being discussed a few times. I'm currently dealing with the effects of what I think is water getting in through the rear door - I've seen discussions of people using foam tubing to bolster the seal but my question is are people doing this to the outermost top seal that just runs across the top of the door or the inner seal that goes all the way round?

While on the subject I think I'll use the fly wire spline insert on the other doors - are people generally inserting this all the way round or just across the bottom and up the sides a bit?

    Thanks,
    Andy

On the rear door I used round rubber I put it across the top of the rear door it sealed the door a treat.

Thanks for this, I think it might have been at least part of the problem. Sealant on the passenger side seemed to go far enough but on the drivers side it definitely stopped too soon - there was a gap I could poke a cable tie through

Will see what happens next time it rains.

    Cheers
