    Yes they spring back across once you let them go Parked and locked. Brake lights on!

    We had the same problem after a a new Tekonsha unit was fitted by an auto electrician. The unit was swapped for a red dot unit which has been trouble free.

    So Nothing to do with the D2

    LR D2 cops it again when it is a user installed accessory causing the problem!

    Pulled the controller apart today and found the spring undamaged inside. Refitted it all good. Parked and locked. Brake lights on!

    It was given to me by my brother in law. I suspect it was dropped at some stage which caused the spring to become detached. Internally there is no damage, so I’m sure all is well.
