installing new front swaybar bushes on D2

Hi - I'm struggling a bit to reconnect the bracket around the rubber D-shaped front swaybar bush on D2. Main problem is the need to hook the toe of the bracket at the rear and then swivel the bracket to the front sufficiently to be able to do up the front bolt. Apparently some people elongate the bolt hole at the front to make this easier...would be so much easier if there were just bolt holes front and rear as there is with other vehicles.

Also, seems to be a bit of debate about whether you should lube the inside of the bush? (get your minds out of the gutter...)

Thanks...wondering if you lubed the bush at all, which would avoid the bracket twisting the rubber during fitting and avoid future squeaks?

I have never heard squeaks over the general noise level.
You would have to use rubber grease or similar.
