    Winch to ARB winch bar.

Who has an ARB winch bar with a winch fitted with synthetic rope?

I have the bar and I am looking at getting a winch with synthetic rope.

I have been told that I will need a spacer kit for the hawse fairlead. Looking at the bar this makes sense.

However looking at ARB fitting instructions, it looks like I need to also fit some spacers between the winch and the bull bar.

    https://www.offroad24.eu/resource/pd...s2-3500620.pdf

Rather than the ARB spacer kit, for not much more coin I could fit a Factor 55 thick hawse. I love Factor 55 stuff.

    Factor 55 Fairlead 1.5" Thick

Would this work instead of ARB kit?
    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

I had an ARB winch bar fitted to my D2a.
No need for spacers But an offset fairlead is needed

Can you explain what you mean by offset fairlead?

    Thats the one
The standard fairlead doesnt fit correctly (Not central on the opening) on the ARB bar as it allows the rope to chafe on the bar itself, The offset fairlead sorts this out

So the winch will bolt directly to the bull bar and all I need extra is the offset fairlead, yes?

    Was your bar an ARB?

Yes. Arb bar and a std footprint winch will bolt straight up with the offset hawse.

The bar is only rated for 9,500lb so no need to go higher.
