You got to feel for the screws around the rim of the fan body, one of the wire retaining clips also needs to be removed and the hardest part on 'some of them' is getting the wiring loom out the way whilst trying to get the fan body out of there.
Reason I say some of them, is because LR changed some of the setups from year to year.
My 99(donor/parts car) had a different motor to the brothers 03 model, where the difference was the electrical connector used.
If I remeber it right, the earlier body had a parallel, like this [ - - ] connector type at the fan motor, the 03 had a angled connector, like this [|-] with an adapter wire for the parallel connector on the loom. The adapter wire threw me out.
That is, how to connect the parallel connector to the angled connector .. I didn't notice that the 03 had two connectors on an adapter wire. One for the angled motor connector, and that short bit of wire had the parallel plug on its end. The 03 was easier to get the motor out around the loom, the 99 was a bit harder .. and as it's a wreck .. I just cut the loom to get it out. I think there was one loom clip screw I couldn't easily get too to loosen the loom just that bit more.
