    D2a Tail lights anywhere??

Ok, Stupid question I know but does anyone know of a super secret stash of D2a tail-lights?
I would love to get in contact with anyone with any info...

Our family D2a has had a fairly rough pair for a while that I never replaced when I had the chance.
Then, a helpful mechanic managed to break off the corners and rip out the screw mounting surfaces on our set last week while doing a rego check and checking the bulbs for some reason.

I really don't want to have to put a set of standard D2 tail-lights on if I can help it, but I can't seem to find any sets for the D2a.
    Any help would be amazing.

If your mechanic did the damage then that mechanic is responsible for replacing what he damaged.
He broke the lights so he should replace them free of charge.

If the lamps are old, then removing the screw to replace the bulbs can easily break off the plastic mounts. Ask me how I know.

I bought a replacement from KLR Auto a couple of months ago.

Oh god I wish. Let's just say i've had my problems over the years, but being the family mechanic and mates with the old man makes any recourse hard.
    Basically, shame on me.

No doubt your completely right. They are super brittle now and was probably just a matter of time.
Thankyou for the suggestion. I'll check with KLR & DPL. I tend to forget the Hawkesbury region is kinda spoilt for Landy shops with KLR and Davis Performance. Old habits.

I gave up looking for the new style pillar lights and added the old style plug from the pre face-lift model, with orange globes for the turn signal on the reverse light section they work a treat, and are easy to find and seem to be better quality.

Could get you out of a fix if you need something unbroken for a road worthy inspection.

I do now have both plugs in the wiring harness so if anyone does find 2a style lights they can go straight back on.

That's not a bad idea. Always nice to have options.
