Yes I did mean wider track. Base was the same. As for common components probably the rear tailgate handle[emoji1787]

That surprised me John. My Barra is heavier than yours, but I find each to be on par with normal economical (as opposed to anal economy) driving, with the edge going to the Barra. The Ford easier to improve or destroy average numbers. Both returned just under 30 mpg sensibly driven.

BTW, I've improved the dash readout on the Range Rover from 11.5L/100k to 10.9 over the 4,000k I've driven it.

having two isnt really an option, it would have to be one or the other hence my dilemma..

however that is a good option, has anyone here done the conversion of a TD5 into a D1?
i get to keep my beloved unicorn of a D1 and have the TD5 goodness

Definitely been done in a RRC, which is nearly the same thing. It'd be good to have a donor car though. It's not just a bolt in.
