Nanocom not playing nicely - DIIA Td5 Auto

    Hi all,
Plugged in my Nanocom today to reset the Three Amigos. Then looked at the engine ECU faults and noticed a 'Turbo over-boosting (logged)' fault and cleared it.
Next decided to switch to 'Instruments' and look at the injector figures, as I suspect I may have injector washer/seal issues. Popped up the 'working' screen for a few seconds, then blank instrument page 1 and then 'ECU communications fault' then, some seconds later, 'system switch off'. But I'd been talking to the engine ECU just seconds earlier!
Then proceeded to unplug/plug-in the Nanocom cable several times with engine off and on and, after 5 or 6 attempts, 'Instruments' came good again.
Any clues? Known Nanocom 'feature'? Dodgy cable or ODBII connector?
As I suspect injector washer/seal issues, I was planning to plug in an SD card and log the injector figures and post them here in the hope that some of the resident gurus could view them and advise me. But that will prove difficult if my Nanocom to ECU comms are dodgy. All advice greatly appreciated.

What i observed is that nanocom loses comms if you crank the engine while it was connected to the non running engine and this happens cos for that short cranking time the aux power is lost so if you want to read live inputs connect it while the engine is running. Any action with the ignition while nanocom is connected will cut the comms with it. Also after you unpluged it always wait 60 seconds untill you plug it back if you didnt switch it competely off from the screen before unplugging it. And never unplug the lead from nanocom side while it's connected to the OBD socket, that's important

Many thanks for your assistance. I knew not to touch the Nanocom DB connector. But not some of the other issues. Perhaps I should read the manual?...
    Cheers.
