If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    Those horns might be ok.
However, whatever powers them might be the problem.
Is there a relay? Is it operating? Does the earth side of the relay connecting properly?
Is the horn switch wiring all intact? Has the switch failed?

In my Def I had to install a relay, after replacing the original stalk switch. Both the original and the replacement switches were too frail to last the distance. - Poor connections causing heat, that then melted the nylon substrate that held the contacts. A relay solved the problem.

    I have Hella 3AG 003 399-801 and Hella 3AM 922 000-971 installed as a replacement. Yes, 4 horns total.
Thought I'd get a loud proper horn with these but bah humbug...

Need to get some semi proper airhorns next..

    HELLA 003399801 Supertone

118db is good enough I find…. If they don’t hear them they aren’t hearing you anyway.

The original D2 horns had both a lovely tune and were as best I can tell waterproof. If repeated dunkings at Cape York didn't kill them then clearly they are. I don't know that the Supertones are as they advertise only "Corrosion and water-spray resistant".

Have you fully immersed yours in water crossings Mike?

There is always the option with the D2 of getting a set from a wreck.

    Cheers

Drowned the factory ones in a single crossing.

The Hellas have had a fair workout and still ok.

Crazy how the same vehicles can have different fates. Having said that the model of horn may have changed on some vehicles as LR change suppliers from time to time.

    Cheers
