Did you do a fuel purge? Ignition on and then pump accelerator 5 times.

That code is bad news, means that the ECU has an internal fault, used to be one of those big capacitors or a smd resistor, if you are not skilled electronist to find the blown part simply replace the ECU

I went back to the beast and checked a few things and started with that horay old chestnut the injector harness and its plug , found oil in the plug and cleaned it with acetone and had no problems starting running and driving , however ther was a missfire in #1 injector so I cleaned it again and problem solved . should have checked it first as generally if I am having problems that is usually the cause ,although the symtoms are always slightly different . I always use CRC lectra clean but had run out this time . Yes I bled it up as per manual and it run for about 2 k before it started playing up last night in the cold wet night , had to call the missus to tow me home lucky we live in a country road

Be aware that the topside switch fault can be very intermittent, i've never heard to be triggered by oil in the ECU plug but i dont say it's not possible, oil in the plug would usually throw injector fault codes so if you'll have missfire or running/starting issues and you get that code again see my previous reply. Also cleaning the oil from the plug is just a short term fix, you have to replace the injector harness ASAP
