I reckon it would also make towing easier on both the driver and transmission.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Interestingly, in NSW the transmission conversion itself doesn't require certification. However it does need certification because the gearbox mounts are fabricated and structural.

I'm not sure, but hopefully he got it completed. House of Torque had Lawrence and the machine complete a Td5/8HP build and demonstrated how it is all done through to driving. Hopefully the solutions are more out there now.

I really hope this gets completed, would be a great conversion.
As you said Slunnie, there are a couple more options now, the easiest (if that is a thing..) I think would be the adaptors from Blackbird Industries, they use a 8hp from a disco 4, this looks like it can bolt in without having to move the transfer case and so no custom drive shafts
