I have not fully researched the topic but my limited knowledge on the subject has suggested to me that 10P engines only have MAF for EGR.
If you delete EGR you don't need it.
Later 15P's use MAF for fueling.
I have noticed that with MAF disconnected that first accelerate after starting there is no power for about 3 seconds. It then kicks in and is fine until next key off.
I will see if the new MAF fixes this.
