i think that's because in 2001 was the transition from Eu2 to Eu3 and there were both types around that VIN limit, at that time there were some stsrange "hybrids" which had 15P engines set from factory to 2 track throtte and the 3 wire AAP sensor.
Are you saying the IGG000060 might be the same unit as the IGG100010?

Yes I've noticed that the part numbers for EU2 and EU3 changed at the same time, but theoretically after that VIN, they should have all been EU3.

I guess it's possible some countries may have still been getting EU2 spec cars at later VIN's?

I dont know for sure but i presume that the ...60 is not 100% the same with the ...10 but it was fitted to those "trannsition" Eu2s which had the 15P engine while the ...10 was on 10Ps then the ...70 was for Eu3s

I've got a weird hybrid (4 wire AAP, 2 track throttle, 16p in a '99) wonder if it's worth swapping my TCU over to a later one

Irrespective of the combination it won't make much difference.

Possible shift and lock point changes of 1 or 2 kmh.

    You won't notice it.

The only outlier is the IGG000070 which has crap cruise control maps.

I have not personally seen any hybrid EU2/EU3 setups.

I have seen some aftermarket ones though.

Which bit of the engine/ECU is 16p?

That's definitely a botched up one by the PO, those i mentioned(i saw 3 with my own eyes) were factory fitted with 15P engine, EGR cooler, 3 wire AAP, 2 track throttle( Eu2 fuel map/MSB ECU), IMO these were the transition to the Eu3s with 4 wire AAP and NNN ECU

I THINK the MSB code will support an EGR cooler and the associated extra solenoid.

A couple of the later firmwares had code for the 3 track throttle as well. Not sure if it would work or not though, I haven't tried.

I'd be interested to see what firmware they ran and a list of fault codes (if any)

Worse, was done by current owner. I know it's bitsa but seems to run fine fine no fault codes, I believe the ecu is stock but also 2nd hand with zero back story.

Thanks Original 10p died, dropped a 16p engine, NNN ecu and AAP/airfilter lid in didn't see the point in swapping the throttle.

But did you wire in the 4'th(AAT) input into the ECU plug ?

    Hi James,

Are these of any use to you?

    - UHC 100 350 (Vehicle Unknown).
    - IGG 100 010 (Vehicle Unknown).
    - IGG 000 070 (Original. In my earlier 2004 and 2004 Classic, both Td5).
    - UHC 100 250 (Original. In my 1999 Td5).

I have one more 2004 Td5 under a well-strapped tarp, but will try and get at it tomorrow.
