I don't have a ZF, but when I need low range the auto in my POS is pretty never in Drive, usually in 2, and in 1 for really steep up end down, There's not a lot of slip at all dousing this........... The TC was put together with 1800 to 2000 stall from memory, but that was a long time ago.
