In the top of the photo is the inlet manifold. Attached to that is what I thought was the cooler, the hoseless fitting can be seen exiting to the left (rear of the car). Photo taken, in this orientation, from a standing position, leaning into the engine bay from the RHS.
Maybe i'm dumb or not understanding what you mean but if it's the pipe to where i pointed with red arrow then that's what i'm talking about, shown from min 12.40 in the video i posted and in the parts list image in a previous post
I magnified the photo and IMO the root of your problem is that the pipe we are talking about was bodged up at a moment with a different universal connector like in the pic below as the original pipe has moulded quick connector not like your's

No, your not dumb SF, I think I created the confusion as I was not sure which components are which. Even the fellow in the video thinks It's a fuel cooler.

is the hose packaged like that for transport purposes, or is it in an operational position?
I've now found the errant hose, as you said SF, it appears bodged. The hose seems in good condition, simply coming adrift from its connecter. That would tie in with the third rate workmanship of the last person who was in there.
Tomorrow I will get a clamp and put it back together, giving me breathing space to source the correct part.

You might need two hose clamps if they will fit as quite high pressure in the fuel system, depending how temporary your repair is. IIRC I lost a quarter tank in about a km when I had one go.
My apologies for adding to the confusion, the pic cleared it up, It is the fuel cooler end and yes, bodged.
