Thread: Bloody 4 Amigos! Front left

I dont understand why so many columns for the sensors, it makes it hard to watch, yes, seems that the rear right input is playing up as well unless it's a nanocom glitch... the gist is that it's a sensor, circuit or ECU issue cos it's never supposed to show zero unless it's an open circuit, with a play in the hub the inputs woud be erratic but never zero... you should check C0505 at the ECU to not have corrosion or loose contacts cos the FL and RR sensor inputs are there near each other(pins 1-2, 3-4) ...give it some contact spray

What makes you think it is the right rear? What am I missing? The column headers are on the left, the data is on the right.

You dont need a hub for that, first suspect is the sensor, it can be the circuit untill the ECU or the ECU itself at fault but you have to replace the sensor first to rule it out.

Interesting as I replaced the sensor and the problem came back after a week or so.
I'll swap over the sensor again and see what happens. That will be in a few days.

Unless it has changed, the nanocom reports abs sensor positions incorrectly.

Front right and rear left are correct.

Front left and rear right are swapped.

Does that make sense?

This may have been fixed in recent firmware updates, if it has simply ignore everything I've written.

Ok, then, I'll replace the rear right abs sensor. See what that does.

Blackboxs' csv viewer shows a much less cluttered version, with graphing too.

I had a quick peek too, out of curiosity, but I don't understand all the sensor data.

I don't get why it shows 2 of the front right with that 0.02 scaling on the y axis, and doesn't show the data with the 100 scale on the y-axis?
See the front left with the 100 scaling for reference.

and its showing 2x front left with the 100 scaling, but not the voltage data ... very strange

I would drive in circles first - both ways to verify if I'm correct, if you turn right, the left front sensor should read highest, if you turn left, the right front should read higher.

You can calculate the geometry for the back wheels!!

After that you should be able to pinpoint them correctly, you could also unhook them one at a time.
