yeah my apologies if that seemed a bit rude haha i honestly didn’t mean it!

another quick question, did the filter and fluid change. Not running I managed to get about 2.5L in before it trickled out. I then started it and put say another 1L in before it trickled out. I then went through from Park to 1st and back slowly and put another 0.5L maybe a touch more and let it trickled until it turned into a drip and replace the plug.

now I thought I’d of got closer to 6-7L at least but only put about 4L in it. Does that seem right?

That's pretty much the procedure. You really only drain about half the full capacity through the drain plug. So much remains in the converter, cooler and lines etc. You will never get it all changed, short of removing the whole lot from the car. If you're new to the car and are concerned, and have the $$$, you can do another one or two changes after a few drives. That would change a fair bit more of the old oil. I wouldn't really bother unless the oil you removed is particularly nasty.

BTW, I didn't think you were being rude. Your comment was fair enough. But AULRO is a loose group of mates and conversations can ramble... Bringing them back to the point is often necessary. [bigsmile1]

cheers mate, that makes sense. I was only confused as old mate I watched on YouTube put what looked like 5-6 1L bottles in. Not sure how old the original oil was but I’d didn’t look horrible when compared to the new stuff I put in.
