The spring clips also spread the tension better and more evenly around the hose.

Sorry I was unclear, I meant the Oetiker one use only crimp type clamps.

Agree with all of that. But I thought there were specialised clamps for silicon. I wouldn't use worm drive, as they tend to cut the hoses, PITA.

I have one, and I hate it. Clumsy, awkward, pos thing. But you can't do the remote clamps without it. But the bloody thing bites. But, you get what you pay for, I guess. I'm sure thee are better ones. Not naming, or shaming, the brand I have.....

Those T-bolt ones, they're the ones I thought of. But I have a bunch of the spring type, and I doubt they'll cut the hoses, Just want to be sure. Never had these new fangled things in my day..:wheelchair:
