    Guinea pig?

Hmm. Taken a chance. All the hoses on the cooling system are soft. I can't bring myself to put them back in, so I have ordered some silicon ones...... from AliEx. I know, it's a risk, but the whole set is cheaper than an aftermarket top hose from a local. They should be here tomorrow, so I'll report back. Oh well, it's been a while since I fell for a scam....

    Nah! You'll be fine.

Got two sets for mine so far, all been good.
Did you get the set with the aluminium top hose link, with the metal screw bleeder?

Anyhow, the thing to watch for is that they don't just fit as they are. Unless they do that is!

No! .. what I've had with both my sets is that some of the hoses need to be cut down to make them fit the radii they're supposed to curve at.

eg. the top hose at the coolant sensor to T-junction(if you have it) to top rad hose which also includes the heater hose pipe hose too.
Hose to head needed about 20mm cut off the head end. Hose to rad needed about same(20mm) and hose to heater tube, I think needed about 100mm off for one of my sets. I think I still have the off cut for that.

D2 set have about 5 or 6 years on them, and the D2a has a year on them now.
Other than being really lazy and not fitting the thermostat hoses yet on the D2a, no problems.

Oh... and just a tidbit of info.
Today I noticed as I had to jump start the D2, I have touched the coolant reservoir for about a couple of years now. I can just see that the coolant level is about 5 or 10mm below the seam line, and then remembered that I haven't done a coolant top up on it since I replaced the reservoir cap. Came inside and checked my spreadsheet .. 2 years ago. Oh!... and just now I remembered what I forgot to think of at the auto parts store two weeks ago ... coolant!
