Are you buying new airbags? I thought there used to be 2" raised bags also???
When I had owned my D2 for maybe a year I got sick of returning to the car and finding its bum sitting on the bump stops. Back then I believed what I was told and just junked the air bags. At the same time I lifted the car. I know different now and want to reinstate it. The compressor is still there, although I don’t know if it’s going to work. One of the height sensors is broken but that’s nothing. Thing is, I don’t remember what I need to do to refit airbags while retaining the lift. Is there a spacer that goes under the air springs?
Im hoping that turning the system back on can be done with my Nano.
Meanwhile I had better get the thing running.

Hey this is a thread I actually know a tiny bit about! I recommend you get some air lines and stuff off AliExpress, I think for less than $100 I got 20m of hose, and then a heap of shark bite fittings for the air suspension to tie it all together with shut offs etc, worked really well on mine for the month or so the engine was starting! I can join the two bags, isolate them from the compressor and patch anything that breaks super easily now
Les Richmond Automotive sells the airbag spacers & all that you will need.
Reasonably priced
Recently did Lift Kit with him on my D2a

As some one who is converting to air bags, (one day, honest one day) I used 2 inch spacers from Les Richmond. You do not need the 2 inch height sensor parts from Les Richmond, a half in wide piece or bar will suffice, at least I think it will. there is very little torque on the extension, thread locker will hold it, with a bolt of course.

Depends on how much lift, John. I replaced the front coils on mine, only +40 were available. Allowing for them to settle, I was able to reset the heights on the bags, to level the car. No spacers deemed necessary.
If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.
Car has a 50mm lift, allegedly. I replaced all the coils etc back then. I want to keep it there, but miss the SLS. Not sure if the airbags can cope with that, as it is, if I select full height. I reckon I'll get the spacers.
