Have you considered sill tanks instead? I've opted for them over the larger main tanks because of the larger fuel capacity (60 liters each I think) and hardly any loss of ground clearance or over hang issue at the back.

They are a pig to fill though, I use a large flexible funnel with a length of silicone hose stuffed down the neck.
The transfer of fuel to the main tank at the rear is also slow but this isn't really a problem.
