D2 Oil in Wiring Harness
Can someone please explain how i can check to see if there is oil contamination in my Td5 D2 02 harness. Not sure where to check and what to do if it is contaminated. Is it simply replace with a new one - how easy is this. thx

If you take the red and black plugs off the ecu, and then pry out gently the white faces of the plugs you will be able to see any black dirty oil in the connectors. Depending on how bad it is you may be able to see it on the front of the white faces too.
If there is oil there, the cheapest way to fix it, and it seems pretty good is to change the injectore loom under the rocker cover, and try ann clean the main loom.
I posted some pictures of inside the rocker cover. I will add a link in a second.
Cheers
Pete.
